Day by day itinerary

5:30 AM – Pick-up & Transfer to Piuray Lake
We start early from Cusco to reach Piuray Lake at sunrise, the best time for bird activity. Along the way, we may spot Andean Lapwing and Mountain Caracara.
6:30 AM – Bird Photography at Piuray Lake
We will explore the lake’s shores to photograph waterbirds such as Andean Coot, Slate-colored Coot, Puna Ibis, and Silvery Grebe. The soft morning light provides perfect conditions for photography.
9:00 AM – Transfer to Anesifera Camp
After a rewarding session at the lake, we drive to Anesifera Camp, a well-known site for hummingbird photography and other Andean species.
9:30 AM – Hummingbird & Highland Bird Photography at Anesifera Camp
Here, we will photograph hummingbirds such as the Bearded Mountaineer, White-bellied Hummingbird, and Sparkling Violetear, along with tanagers and flowerpiercers.
12:30 PM – Lunch & Rest
Enjoy a delicious traditional Andean meal in a scenic setting.
1:30 PM – Afternoon Birding Session
After lunch, we continue exploring the camp’s diverse birdlife, capturing shots of Andean Flicker, Great Sapphirewing, and Rusty-fronted Canastero.
3:30 PM – Return to Cusco
We wrap up our photography tour and head back to Cusco, with arrival by approximately 5:00 PM.
