Itinerary – Chonta Condor Photography Tour (Full Day)

05:00 AM – Pickup from your hotel in Cusco
We start early to catch the best light and maximize chances of condor sightings. A scenic drive takes us through the high Andean plains and picturesque villages.
07:30 AM – Breakfast in Limatambo
Enjoy a local breakfast en route in the quaint town of Limatambo.
09:00 AM – Arrival in Chonta Village & Photography Prep
We reach Chonta, where the adventure begins. Your guide will give you photography tips specific to wildlife and flight shots.
09:30 AM – Hike to the Condor Viewpoint (~1.5 hrs)
A gentle but rewarding hike along a well-maintained trail leads to the condor viewing cliffs overlooking the dramatic Apurímac Canyon. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic views and wildlife photography opportunities.
11:00 AM to 02:00 PM – Condor Viewing and Photography Session
We settle into the viewpoint and wait for condors to soar. This is the ideal time to capture wide-angle landscape shots and tight flight portraits as the condors glide just meters overhead. Your guide will assist with settings, angles, and storytelling tips.
05:00 PM – Hike back to Chonta and drive return
We head back down the trail and begin the return drive to Cusco.
09:00 PM – Arrival in Cusco & Hotel Drop-off
