Itinerary day by day

Day 1: Cusco – quesiuno – Anatapata. (4,200m)

• Morning: Pick-up from Cusco (early morning) and scenic drive through the Andes.
• Afternoon: Trek through the high-altitude wilderness, spotting Andean wildlife such as vicuñas and condors.
• Evening: Night photography session with the Milky Way over the dramatic Andean landscape.

📍 Day 2: Anatapata – Rainbow Mountain (5,036m) 

• Morning: Sunrise hike to Rainbow Mountain for golden-hour photography.
• Afternoon: Trek to Rainbow mountain for breathtaking views .
• Evening: Second astrophotography session with the Andean peaks under a sky full of stars.

📍 Day 3: Rainbow Mountain Red valley  – CuscoMorning: Exploring Red Valley: After experiencing Rainbow Mountain, those with extra energy and a spirit of adventure can continue to the nearby Red Valley. This extension adds about an hour to your trek but rewards you with equally stunning views. The Red Valley, with its deep crimson hues, offers a stark contrast to the colorful slopes of Rainbow Mountain and provides another spectacular photo opportunity.
Midday: Descent and Return: We begin our descent back to the trailhead, where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch. Enjoy traditional Andean dishes and reflect on the incredible sights you’ve witnessed.
Afternoon:Return to Cusco: After lunch, relax as we drive back to Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel, concluding a day filled with extraordinary memories and breathtaking landscapes.

Our Peru photo trek will mainly focus on hiking and capturing the most iconic landscapes in the Rainbow mountain, the world’s highest tropical mountain ranges. This time of year is perfect for hiking, as it coincides with the dry season, and ideal for astro, as it’s the peak of Milky Way season in the Southern Hemisphere, with 10+ hours of Milky Way visibility at night.
